Cherrapunji
Cherrapunji, also known as Sohra, is a settlement located in the East Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya, India. Cherrapunji is located on the southern plateau of the Khasi Hills at a distance of 53 km from Shillong at a height of 4869 feet. It is currently renamed from Cherrapunji to Sohra.
Cherrapunji is full of natural beauty and adventure.There are huge monoliths , exciting caves and underground passages near the mavasami waterfall.Apart from the natural beauty, the exciting experience of red pandas, Asian elephants, etc. can be added to the memories.
Cherrapunji has rains all year round, so you should be aware of a lot of seasonal information to come here. there are many attractive scenic waterfalls in this area and the beauty of the waterfalls increases during monsoon. it is not advisable to visit during monsoon. good time of tourism here is summer season. during summer the weather of Cherrapunji remains favorable for tourism and for summer holidays.
Mawlynnong Village
Mawlinong village is a village in East Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya. This village is clean village located about 22 km from Cherrapunji | it was declared second cleanest village in Asia by Discovery India in 2003 and cleanest village in India in 2005, makes it one of the most popular tourist destinations in Cherrapunji. Here the waste is collected in bamboo litter and then used as compost. Polyethylene is not used here.
Live Bridge (live bridge)
Cherrapunji is world famous for live bridge which is built by the local people here, this bridge is so wide and strong that 50 people can pass in this bridge at a time.
Umngot river
Known as the Dawki river , it flows through the settlement of Dawki. The river passes through moylannong, Asia's cleanest village, near the India - Bangladesh border. Stones can also be seen. The water of this river is so clear and transparent that one thing inside is very clear.It gives us a sense of the natural environment

Mausamai cave is a popular place located just 6 km from Cherrapunji, mavasai cave is one of the caves in the eastern Khasi hills of Meghalaya. The length of this cave is about 150 meters.
Dainthlen waterfall
Denthalen Falls is one of the beautiful waterfalls of Meghalaya, it is located in East Khasi Hills district. The falls from a height of about 90 meters pass through thickly wooded hills. At denthalen falls, you can enjoy bathing, swimming, picnics, trekking, photography, etc
Mawkdok dympep valley
Also known as Duwan sing SIEM, the valley lies close to the area of chirpunji in the eastern Khasi Hills district. It is a major tourist attraction. The forest department has built a view point in this valley from where tourists can enjoy the natural beauty of the Valley. The valley is covered by clouds most of the time but even under this conditions it seems picturesque. No less than this paradise for photographers and tourists.
Wakaba falls
The waterfall is located 15 km from Cherrapunji . Its height is about 170-190 meters, it is a tiered waterfall and it adorns the surrounding valley around it, it captivates the tourists. During the winter months falls with thin streams of water that become completely invisible, its beauty is further enhanced during the monsoon months. Heavy smog sometimes covers the entire valley during the monsoon month
Kynrem falls

KREM mumluh
Maumaluh cave is one of the longest caves in the Indian subcontinent as it extends for about 4500 meters. Locally known as KREM maumluh, the cave is located about 500 metres west of Cherrapunji in Meghalaya-happily, the IUGS have recognised the maumluh cave as one of the first 100 IUGS geological heritage sites.
